This Irish Rose and Leaves Wrap was inspired by the multitude of published, genuine Irish flower designs in old and current publications. Embroidery silk is available in many beautiful flower shades and was used here to create the roses, leaves and petals. A mesh of natural cotton thread gives a perfect canvas to the Irish garden. Another bow to my beloved Irish.

German cotton and American embroidery silk. Hand wash, dry flat.

Here is a picture of my award winning “Surrender to the Irish” Camisole. It was originally created for the Southern Highland Craft Guild’s Black and White Exhibition and was just awarded a third place in over 200 entries of the “Bring Us your Best” exhibition of the Arts Council of Henderson County.

This camisole combines the heritage techniques of broomstick, hairpin, Tunisian and thread lace in the main body and moves it forward into a contemporary fashion statement by the addition of an Irish shamrock hem and traditional Irish rose blossoms and leaves. The Irish techniques take center stage here and therefore broomstick, hairpin, Tunisian and thread lace harmoniously surrender to the Irish.

Boho American cotton/silk blend, poly camisole. Hand wash or dry clean.

This broomstick lace jacket was inspired by the beautiful material it is made from. It lends itself to the making of small broomstick lace around a knitting needle instead of the broomstick to keep the loops small enough for a baby’s outfit. A perfect heritage technique for a perfectly designed classic jacket. The broomstick fun completes the outfit along the front edge, ending with an antique button.

Made from American Super Lustre Embroidery Pearle Cotton. Hand wash, dry flat.

Sized for 9 – 12 months, shoulder to hem length is 9″,fits chest to 18″

This pretty scarf was inspired by a walk in the rain, admiring a neighbor’s lavender bushes. Raindrops glistened on the bushes and the glass beads in this British Baby Wool express the beauty of that outing.
